Hello: I'm trying to locate a really good book or whatever of the painting of an American Woodcock. I saw Frank Russsell's article on step by step carving in Wood Carving Illus. Mag- Power Carving Manual Vol 2 (2000). I now seek the 'follow up' if you will.

There is an article in the Spring 1997 issue of Wildfowl Carving magazine titled 'Painting Complex Feathers' by Dan Williams.It's a step-by-step instruction for woodcock and bobwhite scapulars.It's a good place to start.As of Spring 2003 that issue is still available.
