does anyone know how to carve reef coral for my habitat displays would like to know more about habitat creating sonmething about sticking a dowel rod in fishes stomach got to be a better way thank you all for the info

Thomas, stop in at one of the hobby or model railroad shops and pick up some 1/16 or 3/32' brass ror or tube. When you get your coral figured out, place your carved fish against the coral piece and drill through the coral into the SIDE of the fish in two places at least 1/4' apart. Then run the brass rod into the holes from the back of the coral.....cut them off to just fit under the surface, epoxy them in place and then fill and paint the holes in the coral. The fish will look like it's either suspended away from the coral or just touching it. You can actually have the fish out a little ways from the support as the fish's body and the coral piece will hide the brass rods.

You want to use two rods as the fish will rotate around one rod, even if it's epoxied in (learned the hard way).
