Orygoner: That is the cutest duck I've ever seen! Mind telling us where we can get the cutout for it?

Kaity - I'm away from home right now but heading back shortly. I think I can get some help for you then. Stay tuned...

Here's link to the Blue Ribbon Wood Carving Supplies website.

Blue Ribbon Wood Carving Supplies

If you click on "catalog" and then on "wood inventory catalog", you will get Word Doc file with several pages. I think the "Duckey" kits are in the back end. He offers a Wood Duck and a Mallard cutout. They come with the eyes and a photo of a finished product. I believe a kit costs $12 plus shipping.

Great little duck Randy. I guess it is carved from Rubber wood if it is a "rubber ducky"????

Kaity... Perhaps you know about it, but, if not I should tell you that there is a carving show in Lincoln City this coming weekend - Sat and Sun. It's an annual affair and is pretty well attended by vendors. I'm sure that Jerry Harris will be there with his wood and carving supplies as will several others. It's not really a competitive show like the Columbia Flyway (also close-by for you - Vancouver, WA - in Sept). But, it's a fun show with quite a number of carver tables with some very good work and some interesting workshops.

The show is in the exhibition hall at the Chinook Winds Casino.

You know Josef, the fella that I got the Wood Duckey cutout from is also my supplier of Jelutong. I should ask him if this was Jelutong. He also sells other species of wood. But... if it WAS Jelutong, I guess I could rightly call it a "sorta rubber duckey".
