| | Wolf Today is my best friends birthday. When I started taking woodcarving classes she started bugging me about carving her a wolf. Well--I spent the last several months of Wednesday night carving classes working on the wolf, and finally finished it a few weeks ago. He seems a little lopsided to me, and some of the details seem off, but I think she will like it.

| | Re: Wolf Micky,
If she doesn't like yuir wolf, then she's no firend at all. You have done an excellent job on the wolf, and should be very proud. I have no doubt she will be thrilled when she sees it. The big question tho is, what are you going to carve next????? Got the bug now? ![004[1]1](http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/forum/images/smilies/004[1]1.gif) Carving,

That's a good looking wolf. Any imperfections are character marks and the sign of hand-carving.
The Creator didn't make us perfect, so why should anything we make be perfect?
I repeat, good wolf. |

| | Re: Wolf That's a great looking wolf, I had to do a double take on the third and last picture as it looked like it had a beaver tail for a second lol then I saw that it was only something else in the picture. LOL Keep up the great work

As for your "lopsided" thought, try slimming down the neck some, if you do another, in that poise their neck is more extended and slimmer. I don't think it's lopsided, but you may check your scale, the head appears a bit out of proportion to the body, but that could be the photos.
Great paint job. You are well on your way, and I hope you enjoyed the experience.

| | Re: Wolf Well done and you have a satisfied customer too, that counts alot.
Great carving especially with it being just your third piece, fur is not easy to capture nor is an open mouth, and yours look just fine to me, again great job. Bill |
