thanks for that Hugh, sadly i have just checked the back issues available and they only go as far back as winter/spring 1998. you dont happen to know if it was posted on this forum do you? Did a quick search nothing came up (sounds just what i was looking for too)

Kev, You are getting some great advice here. If I could add anything it would be to carve more, worry about the best book less. Good advice from a carver who reads many books and too few carvings to show for it. Larry
