| | waxwing on nest with 3 chicks a lifesize bohemian waxwing with three chicks on nest,nest is made from old string and carved twigs and epoxy putty and painted,birds are basswood,glass eyes,acrylics,thanks for looking,regards,milford.

| | Re: waxwing on nest with 3 chicks Milford what a fantastic carving so realistic although I have never seen a waxwing your carving has given me some insite into how they look. I admire you for taking on such a complicated carving most people would have been satisfied with one chick. BTW do you build the nest or is that a real waxwing nest. No matter an excellent carving congratulations and thanks for letting us see it.

| | Re: waxwing on nest with 3 chicks Your carving is fantastic. But what really graps me is the eye flow of the composition. The way you have her perched, angled, on that long branch with the tilt of her head leads my eye right down to that delightful begging baby.
