Default Ward World Cham.

This is a first for me on the message board.I am new at this so forgive me if I make afew mistakes.
I am planning to attend the Ward World Championship competion in April. This will be my first visit to the Ocean City area. I am sure a lot of you folks have been several times.Would you give some general information, such as plases of interest to visit in the area, recommended accommodations my wife & I will be in the area for about a week.
I am generaly a song bird carver and plan to take a couple of carvings with me. I know the competition will be very competative, any pointers on registration, and the show would be very helpful.

THANKS GORDO.

I was there several years ago. It is an astonishing place! I think you should try to get your hotel reservations in Ocean City in advance. People from all over the world converge on Wards all at once. Hotel accomadations will be in high demand. You will spend a lot of time looking and it will be time well spent in my opinion. Jim

I just recieved a booklet from the Dept. of Tourism from ocean city It contains accommodations, dining.things to do,visitors services. It lists all the hotels and motels. The 800 number is 1-800-oc ocean(1-800 626-2326) or www.ococean.comThere are tons of motels and this early in the season there are usually quite a lot of vacancys. It depends on how much you want to spend per night.
Don't miss going to the Ward museum. They have all the purchase prizes of each year, which are the best carvings of the show.
