Â* Â* Yeah Brian, I can't wait to see some photos of him! Â*Do you have lots of pictures to use for reference? Â*I find that very helpful, different angles to look at.
Â* Â* I got a file organizer, holder, whatever you call them and cut pictures out of magazines (wouldn't recommend it with library books though Â*: ) and started my own reference library. Â*Really comes in handy and everything is organized, deer, fox, peoples faces, etc., etc. Â*Great for reference and for getting new ideas. Â*Good luck! Callynne
P.S. Teri, you're into so many zones you should NEVER be bored! Ha! Ha! Â*I'm coming to you for advice when I'm ready to do my own web page.....don't worry, you probably have years before that day comes!

Callynne
I am so impressed with your talent. I have never been able to do acurate nature carvings, I have done several stylized and comical animals, but I have never captured the realism that you ( and several others here) can. Note to self- learn to paint!

anyway what kind of burner do you use for the hair?

Â* Â* Hey Lorax, thanks for the kind words! Â*I use the Colwood Detailer, I love it! Â*My husband bought it for me, before that I just used a little 'craft' kind of woodburner a friend had lent me....the Detailer is much, much nicer, more suited to what I want it for! Â*Sure does put the detail in....hmmm, think that's why they call it the 'Detailer'? Â* Callynne

That phrase seems to be a common theme in your post! If I could get my wife interested in carving I could 'buy her' new tools, and come off like a nice guy. Naaaaaahhhh then Id have to sharfe

LOL Lorax - I'm just wondering why my husband doesn't think of buying me new tools :-) Will have to get him together with Callynne's hubby.

Callynne - I bought a Colwood Detailer just before Christmas (well, SOMEbody had to do it, MY husband wasn't going to!!). You're right - it is SO much better than the little crafty burners. I'm having so much fun playing with it...burning everything in sight!

Â* Â* Lorax, no matter what you think (or my husband has told you) I am NOT SPOILED!! Â* Â*Actually, the man admits to an ulterior motive, he says he want me to support him in his old age....he wants to be a 'kept man' !!! Â*Sure hope he likes spam a lot (oh, should clarify I mean the canned pork meat product, not the e-mail type!) Â*: Â*
Â* Â* Terry, I'm glad you like your Colwood, you will really find lots of uses for it and it's just plain fun to do! Â*Callynne Â*
