Default Turkey Call...Turkeys

I haven't posted (or carved) much over the winter and thought I'd show a couple of the carved turkey calls I recently finished. Thanks for looking.

Steve

This is a Holly and Ebony Slate Call

And this is an Osage and Ebony Tube Call... Both are actual "Working" turkey callers...

HOLY CARP those are amazing, excellent work where do you get the slate from? I wanted to make a turkey pot call for a good friend of mine.

I got a bunch of the old school chalkboard, which was all slate, when they built the new high school in Ponca City. I then cut it in rounds then cut to size.

They usually have some of the precut discs for sale on ebay also...
