Mateo, I am sorry I missed this post earlier. I age the tagua center with Ceramacoat varnish (a water soluable polyeurothane) and burnt sienna latex tube paint. I use 1 part paint to 4 parts varnish (Poly. they call it varnish) I use it to age almost everything. It dries in a few minutes and it is good for indoor or outdoor.

I am going to try food coloring next time. You can "stain" wood with it, so the tagua nut is next!!

Mateo, I forgot to tell you the wood it is mounted on is Teak. It is also stained with the Ceramacoat and paint mixture.

Hey Mateo, great frog, I checked out your website, there's some great tagua carvings there. I've carved a dasey ring and a skull ring from tagua nuts and seeing your work inspires me to try carving some more.
