thank you everyone for the kind compliments. Hugh, I used a sponge like you would use in the kitchen (wife is wondering what happen to hers!!) lol, I use a knife to kinda tear it in strips and pieces, just tear some of it in shreds, then glue it in place, paint it with a green mossy color with some yellowish green. it took me a few trys to get it just right.

Wow - what a great bird!!! I love the whole presentation - the carving, painting and the habitat. What a wonderful job you've done here. I think it's the best of yours I've seen to date!

thanks Oscar, yes I still carve from the "rolling shop!" But I have purchased a piece of land in middle tn with rv hookups. So I built a small carving shop for when I spend time there. But I do still travel and fulltime live in my fifthwheel trailer. you take care Oscar and let the chips fly!

Nice job. I don't know too much about shore birds but they're on my list to try. I like your habitat. The bird fits well in the composition.
