Floyd Scholtz book on Owls has a good pattern to start with. Its always best to make your own pattern , from other patterns, or from photo's. Its not too difficult once you get the hang of it.

I was browsing the web a few days ago and found an owl wood carving that I liked a lot. It's one of those traditional wood carvings from Oaxaca, Mexico called Alebrijes they have in this Naayart website. Hope it helps and good luck.
