Lori,

BEAUTIFUL WORK,.....Your painting is so realistic, feather by feather, I'm left with the impression that if I blew over it, the feathers would fluff in the wind, fantastic job, really appreciated viewing the pictures. Bill

Lori that was just amazing to follow through the steps that you did. I thought the bird was elegant before you started the painting but the end product is just wonderful! Wow!

Thanks again, all. The compliments are encouraging...makes me feel my experiments were successful...A few of the techniques I tried on this were a result of the techniques used on the flat paintings for the Denny Rogers birds of prey series books...and....
As soon as I finish up the paintings for the last book in the Denny Rogers series, I'll be starting some more carvings. I've found a really cool European avocet called a Pied Avocet...all black and white. THAT should be fun.
BillA...that one is going to World in 2008 with me...and YES, I plan on having it finished....but if it isn't, at least it'll be BLACK and WHITE...no chance of messing up colors under funky light with that one...ROTF....
