 Sleeping Avocet Smoothie I just finished up a smoothie sleeping avocet. My first smooth carving and my first shorebird... I sorta documented the painting process start to finish...  American AvocetMy photos are formatted too big for the Gallery here, hence the link....:-) Thanks for looking! Lori

I'm glad I didn't finish under that funky light too...next time I'm bringing my OWN lights...or...hey, here's an idea...FINISH the silly thing before flying out...LMAO... | Re: Sleeping Avocet Smoothie Hugh and Hi_Ho...THANK YOU very much...it was an experimental piece for me (first totally smooth bird), and I learned a few things...I think I'm going to use less texture and more paint effects on my future carvings. See if I can reach a happy medium....
