Default Simply had to do it !!!!

My friend Desmond has a beautiful Husky. He also had a few old seasoned logs of poplar stacked in his backyard. He asked and I just could'nt refuse.

Hi Nancy-CA,

The head and base are one-piece carved out full size out of the poplar log. Eyes are painted and lacquered for a gloss effect. The name is cut-out from a basswood strip and glued on.

Beautiful job Muscade, you have done a marvelous job capturing her. The eyes are so attentive and lively. She's the image of my own Kira .... a five year old Siberian. Well done.

The teeth are really good, and the paint job really works! The eyes seem real. I'm very impressed.
It never fails to surprise me what I'm gonna see on this forum.

Thank you all for the kind comments. I really appreciate. Your pats in the back are worth so much more than a pile of $$$$.
This piece will most probably be entered in the Ottawa Woodshow (Ottawa Ont.) carving competition next November as I was suggested to do so by some of my friends.
