In his book, "OWLS", Floyd Scholz shows how he painted a pair of Saw-Whet's.

Many pictures and instructions.

Frank, as Hi Ho suggests, Hugh would be an excellent source, matter of fact he had a excellent Saw-Whet tutorial on his web site a while back.

Aw come on Frank, artistically challenged?
You gotta be kidding, you are talking to people who know you better. Just remember this is your hobby, you wanna do it! You have to get outa that married man condition where the husband acts like he's all thumbs when the better half asks him to do something, just so she won't bother to ask for his help anymore.
Been there done that and just in case I'm the one carrying the big stick, not like some unmentioned person on this forum who seems to spend a lot of time ducking a club.
