The tubing I used for the stem runs through the flower and becomes the beak. Since the beak is so thin, I had to add a wider piece of tubing (1/8 inch) over the part that is the exposed stem to make it the right thickness for the flower stem. The beak is made of 3/32 brass tubing that runs through the flower and up into the stem. It is all soldered together. I also added a little epoxy putty over the tubing on the beak to build it up, blend it into the head, and give it the right shape.
