Default Robin

This is a robin im working on ,the bird is finished but im still working the base .I have grass and a dandelion blossom t0o add to the base yet.

Bird bird is basswod .I used a reworked Mulematt pattern.The head and body is 1 piece I didnt carve a separeate hed and turn it its turned in the block.
Delise feet .5mm glass eye br I think .I paint in acrylic washes see Lori Corbitts book on painting technique.I dont use gesso I burn light .Base oval is a craft store special 5 bucks I think I believe it was basswood I stained walnut.I dont do many non duck birds but if these sell I may do more.

Here is the finished robin with grass added to base .no dandelions tho next one .
