Ron, In regards to your question the wings are closed and the tail is not spread

Nice work so far , the form looks good. Did you use the pre cast legs ? going to be a really nice piece.

Ron he is feathering the tail , and doing very well .

Your Red Tailed hawk is looking great! It looks like the bird is balanced very well on the perch. Now comes the fun part of defining each section of feathers. Can't wait till you show us the next step. Great Job! Thumbs Up Bird carver
