Default red breasted merganser

Is anyone out there trying the red-breasted merganser from Tom Matus' article in the newest Wildfowl Carving magazine? I'd be interested in your WIP.

Thanks!

Tom makes some really nice decoys,I don't have a copy of the magazine yet but they should have one at the Worlds in Ocean City on the 25th of this month, I'll pick one up there. Tom usually takes the top in several divisions.

There is a Tutorial by Keith Mueller of a RBM Gunning Decoy that he did for the Decoy Carving Forum and I think it's about 35MB in the Discussion forum. Tom is also a member of the forum and I'm sure he would offer some help if you need it. One of the great things about the tutorial is that he uses 5 min epoxy for attaching heads, man, talk about fast and easy, I've been doing it that way ever since.
