I finished my relief carving on the raccoon, did some painting on it yesterday. How can I do whiskers? I didn't have a paint brush small or thin enough.

Do you have a woodburning outfit with a fine pen? That would work. After the piece is sealed try using an old nib style pen with India ink. That would give you only one chance to not make a mistake, though.

Ok, here's a thought...are you married and does your wife use a blush brush or a eye shadow brush? The blush brush is usually a fine, but longer haired bristle. So, you might search her makeup-bag for possible raccoon whiskers.

Another possibility is a shoe shine brush--those bristles would work well, too.

I am, LOL.

I've been a DIY'er all my life. Got it from my dad, I guess. My hubby usually let's me buy whatever tools I want--sweet thing that.

Oooops! That thought crossed my mind but like many other thoughts... it just drifted away and I didn't check your profile! At least I didn't have to explain what a blush or eye shadow brush is

I know what you mean about tools--I spend as much time in the tool aisle as my hubby of 40+ years. By the way, I introduce him as my first husband...wanna keep him on his toes in case he decides I've bought enough tools or wood!

If you have a hair brush with black bristles, take a pair of pliers and pull one out.....they make great whiskers LOL...(they also make terrific antennae for lady bugs ha ha)
