Default project

I have someone who wants me to carve an akita head on a peice of wood that is 15" x 15" and that can be glue to their front door when done. Any thoughts?

No help on carving, but I use screws from the other side of the door to hold my carvings. That way when I leave, the carvings can go with me, and I just have to fill the holes. Also, it is a more "positive" hold for the carvings.

There's a much better way to attach the carving. You will need a router bit called a "KEYHOLE" It works by using a plunge router, the bit has a head the size of a #10 screw and then the shank comes in to the size of the actual diameter of the screw ( not the head)

Most wall clocks have that method of attaching the clock to the wall. This way if you need to remove the carving its is easly done and as for the screws simply remove and use a filler.

Well i am not sure what wood to use I am waiting to hear if she wants an actual head of an akita or like what my pins are 3 d on flat surface. What are your thoughts?
