Default Posted a few fish pics

Just posted a few shots of a brook trout and bluegill I did a few years ago and finally found the pics. I'll try to get some better ones uplater. These are carved in aspen and painted with acrylics. The lily pads and flowers were made from brass sheet and rod and painted with acrylics.

Nice job...all of them. The rocks look like real ones to me...well done! I guess that Aspen carves pretty well for you, eh?

Yep, Randy, I do like the aspen for carving. It's a mite harder than basswood, but holds detail really well. It is also fairly free of obvious grain, much like basswood.
