Default Polar bears

Here is my latest reduction from the WIP shelf.
Polar bear family, mama is about 5 inches long, baby is about 2 3/4 inches. Base is cherry. Baby was fun, being so small had to woodburn all the detail. Hope you enjoy.
This WIP shelf of mine is becoming an obsession. I want to start carving fish but still have several projects that are "begging" me to finish them first.

Nice job on the polar bears. What did you use for the eyes? It is also on my list to do.

I do quite a bit of photography and hang out on some photography websites. One real crowd pleaser of the Polar Bear images is the mother with cubs. They can get in some poses that really get you saying "awwwe". I think you got some pretty good "awwwe" factor in your carving here.

Get the bears done and get on to those fish, eh? ;-)

Momma needs a slight bit more rise in her forehead. Baby is real.
You did a top job of the top terrestrial carnivores!

Harold you have done it again they are great it is hard to move on past the Bears once you start. I have been trying some different things but still keep going back to the bears. What are you doing on the details just burning or you using some V tools also? looks great. The one I am working on now I am useing a V tool but am going to burn also sure hope it turns out okay. Will post when done.
