Default Pharr Texas competition winners

I won 4 blue ribbons in the open division in January. The competition had 6 categories for birds. Here is a picture of my blue ribbon winners.

Hi Kahunakalai,

Very well deserved blue ribbons. Excellent carvings, great detail and painting.

Are you in Hawaii?

No I am in Texas. I was looking for a name for my new boat a few years ago. My son said call it Kahuna Kalai. I looked it up on the net and it translates to "master carver". I have been using it ever since, also on the boat. Howeve, I am far from being a Master yet. Maybe some day.

I believe those birds dispute your claim that you are not a "master carver". They look masterfully done to me. Congratulations on your well-deserved win. Please show us more of your work.

I vote with the "unanimous majority"... very nice carving with awards well deserved. I especially like the wren piece - great subject matter and composition.
