Default Penguin Carving

I'm not sure what magazine it was in but I remember seeing a carving of a penguin looking down at it's reflection in the 'water'. Whatever magazine it was I thought it had a copy of the pattern in there. Does anyone know where I can find this pattern on the internet? Also, if you know the name of the carving please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Geez it takes three of us to answer "all" of his questions..
Carvers name is Ken Bedel, no e-mail address etc. and it was a winner in the WCI /Woodcraft Supply WildLife Carving contest.
Too bad this is not one of the patterns that WCI has as a freebie(to he best of my knowledge).
Yep Hi Ho I saw it in Chip Chats as well.
Since WCI has a copyright symbol on the pattern page I guess if Shane C wants the pattern he'll have to buy the back issue or maybe if he's lucky his carving club or local library will have a copy he can borrow.

There are other penquin patterns out there, the pose is a quite familiar picture of an Emperor Penguin.

Now tha's something I don't want to touch with a ten foot pole...maybe a Czech or a Frenchman but not a Pole.
I don't know how it goes in your house Hi Ho, but around these parts I hold the ladder and the Domestic Engineer looks after the light bulbs..

I guess I haven't been on the site lately to see this thread...

Hopefully shane_c got my message and he can get in contact with me with any questions about the piece.

Maybe the e-mail direct reply will work off this posting.

Ken
