where would i find realistic colors and shades for a crow carving...

on your thread below Paul gave a pretty good description of colors of different parts of your crow.
As for the right paints, I suspect that is subjective and you may have to blend them using your colors and iridescents?

You might want to try a taxidermy shop as they my have a mount that they would loan you.

I've been having really good luck with Jansen Art acrylics. Try The Duck Blind or MDI Woodcarvers.
