can some one give me some tips on paint i am using oil base is there a sealer i need or can i paintover the wood any help? |

Hi Blackbeard, I use mainly acrylics now, but when I first started carving I did use oils. I never knew about sealing the wood back then, but never seemed to have a problem with using washes of oils. I used a 50-50 mix of linseed oil and turp as a medium. Good luck! Mark |
