Default Oxen patterns

Hi
I am a new poster here and glad I have found this forum. I have been searching the net in vane for a plan for carving a team of oxen. This is something I wanted to do for my grandson for Christmas and since I have oxen on my farm I also would enjoy creating them with some wagons etc.

Can anyone point me to a plans source for this?

Gordon Stiller has pattern for nearly every critter there is...his oxen pattern is here.
Gonna be hard to get it all together before Christmas, though.

Mary Duke Guldan, in her book, Woodcarver's Workbook 2, Published by Fox Chapel, ISBN 1-56523-037-x, has a pattern for a Yoke of Oxen.
There is also a pattern for an Ox, Chip Chats May/Jun 1994 Back Cover.
Cheers

run the grain long ways in the legs-- other wise u are guaranteed to break them-- or i do-- did-- until i changed it-- the weak spot then becomes the tail head-- but u have only one of those and can prob ably keep it intact- and ofcourse the neck isn't likely to break which ever way the grain run because of its mass.
