Thought those of you who are into bird carving might like to see the pictures I took of a visitor we had last week. He/She spent the morning in one of our Mesquite trees and then most of the afternoon in the yard near a sprinkler head. We somtimes have a rock squirrel in the yard and I think the Owl was looking for lunch. Then again it was 112 and he might have just been trying to cool off.
Yep, spreading his wings, trying to cool off....we have a small pond and a number of trees, so just about everything likes to sit around or in the water lol
Wow, those are some great pictures! I never see owls around here except in flight and once at night setting in the tree outside the kitchen window, and that was just a silhouette. Thanks for sharing them with us! Callynne
