Default Newest - Horse head cane

I did this horse head for a neigh . . .bor. It is basswood and painted with acrylics. The cane is yucca. I put an all thread rod, epoxied in the cane and up into the horse for added strength. decorated with hemp and wooden beads.

Nice job Nancy really has a native look to it with the hemp and beads. The head looks like a mustang. Did you color the head or is it burned. Love it.

Nice little buck-aroo that you have there! I really like the dark shading around the eyes and nice job wrapping the joint area with the hemp/beads.

I suppose the little fella can sniff your fingers when being used to identify the proper owner ;-)

Beautiful job Nancy, I love the effect of the posture of the head, unique with character. Great job, I bet your neighbour will be pleased with that one!

Thanks guys

Jax: it is a decoritive cane. She collects them.

Colin: only the mane and forelock is burned after texturing with a v-tool. I did a little burning around the eyes/lids.
