Thanks for the demo Lori. Great job as usual. If it would only be as easy as you make it look. Thanks again for sharing your vast talent.

If you search Lori's site, she's made available prints of some of the song birds featured in her book. They are beautiful.

Thumbs up Re: New Painting Demo

Lori,

That is a great demo, thanks for posting it. I'm always amazed at how someone can mix colours to come up with just the right shade to match a particular colour (know what I mean??) .

Anyway, painting seems to be my weakness right now. I'm never quite satisfied with how it looks after I'm done. After looking around your website, I can see that I've found the right person to ask if I have any questions I will also be buying your book.

Chris.

Thanks again, all!
Chris...Small projects like these are great for staying "in shape" between larger projects. I find that I'm more inclined to take chances and try new methods or materials because there isn't as much time invested. This one was to test out a new brand (new to me, not new on the market) of paint and mediums to see how they behaved. Just jump in and start mixing...get a book on basic color theory...that works wonders on determining which colors to choose and why they work (or not). Feel free to e-mail me or post your questions. If I can't answer, or think up a good enough lie (smile), I'm sure others can answer or steer you to someone who can.
