| | Re: Need Help in Colorado Barman,
Check the carving clubs under the resources tab at the top of this page. Your local carving club(s) should be able to assist you or point you in the right direction.
Good luck!!!

Check out the Colorado Carvers Club. I used to belong before moving out of state. They are a very active club and there are members who teach outside of the club. I am positive they can help you. http://www.coloradocarvers.org/index.htm |

| | Re: Need Help in Colorado I second the suggestion about attending the Creede Woodcarvers Rendezvous. I am going this year for the third time. It has some excellent classes!

| | Re: Need Help in Colorado I see they have about 8 campgrounds there for RV's ...anyone know which ones are best, cheapest, close to the activities? Also is this a woodcarving show as well as classes? |

| | Re: Need Help in Colorado The nearest RV park is Mountain Views RV Resort. Very nice, not the cheapest, but we really like it. They have free WiFi. They have a web site if you want to check their prices. The weekly and monthly rate is cheaper than the day rate. There are several more campgrounds within 5-10 miles.
It is not exactly a 'show' but there are a lot of carving related vendors there, many with excellent carvings for sale. They have so many classes that it is hard to choose the ones to take.

| | Re: Need Help in Colorado Dave,
Yes Creede is a show as well. There are tables and displays set up in one of the caves with carvings and supplies for sale. It is a very good time and a neat little town. I didn't see any mounties there either the year I went. |
