It is not exactly a 'show' but there are a lot of carving related vendors there, many with excellent carvings for sale. They have so many classes that it is hard to choose the ones to take.
Jerry | Is it within walking distance to the activities? would be nice not to have to bring the "toad", but might be nice to sightsee some to? hummm |

No, it is about 3-4 miles. The RV park is south of the downtown area and the Rendevous is just on the north side of town (uphill all the way!). A lot of carvers stay at Mountain Views so you could hitch a ride with one of us if you did not want to bring your toad.

| | Re: Need Help in Colorado Here's the link to the Creede Rendevouz website, I want to go, but I'm not sure they'll let me off. I have been up there and its beautiful, as far as walking distance from the site, I don't believe there is anything real close. Its held in a firestation that built inside of a mountain. I camped up in where the Rio Grande headwaters are, thats a long drive from Creede, but the fishing was great. The RV parks aren't too far. There also is a ghost town up on top and they have a gravesite for Bob Ford, the guy they shot Jesse James, that some of the tourists go see. I hope I get to go and meet some of you guys and learn some new stuff too.

| | Re: Need Help in Colorado I called to verify my reservation at the Mountain View campground and found out the place is full. The gal taking reservations was impressed wih the number of people coming, especially first timers. She recommeded either Blue Creek or Cottonwood Cove.
