| | "Nature's Order" Red Tail and Bull Snake Life size. Tupelo and acrylics. 75 feather inserts. Snake was fun to do and fun to scare the women and some men with! It perfectly drapes over your arms and hangs there just like a snake would! I walked up to a guy from behind and when he turned around to look at me (he was sitting down) he seriously jumped over the corner of a big desk trying to get away!! HA! That was fun.

| | Re: "Nature's Order" Red Tail and Bull Snake OK, first, that's amazing, then, I do have a few questions. I wouldn't know where to begin on a carving that fine. I know you said it is life size, but what are the dimensions? Also, how long did that project take you? That must represent a very respectable length of time.
Also, has it won any competitions or is that part of your interest in carving?
Thanks so much for posting pictures of it.

| | Re: "Nature's Order" Red Tail and Bull Snake Thanks to all for the kind words! Thor, Height is a little under 6'. The piece is in someone's private collection so I can't take other measurements. Sorry. Lets just say that when you had the hawk off it's perch and in your hands that you had a handful!
As for time taken to finish this? A few weeks for sure. I actually stopped working on it to promote an invention I came up with so longer than it should've.
Never had it at any shows. One of the 'problems' I have I guess. Everything I've done has been a commission or sold before or as soon as I got it done so hard for me to get these back in my hands to show. But would show some stuff if given the opportunity. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
