Default Love Birds

I'm carving a pair of love birds and am having a bit of trouble with the wing shape. I've found some small pictures on the Net but none that are good enough to get me going in the right direction.

I'd really appreciate it if anyone here has any love bird carving experience and in particular a good size photo or two.

Thanks!

I'm not sure what you want, but here are some nice pictures.

Glad that helped. Love Birds are very colorful and look like a real challenge to carve and paint. I hope you will show us yours when you get it done.

If you go to google.dom, enter "love bird wing" in the search field, then when the new page comes up, click Images in the upper left corner, you'll see several photos and anatomical drawings of the wings.

peach faced lovebird - Google Search

This link came up when I googled peach faced lovebirds. As you roll your cursor over the photos, they enlarge quite a bit.

There are several shots of the wings among them. I used to raise these guys and though the coloring is different on each variety, the body is about the same. So, no matter which variety you find good photos of, the wings will be right for what ever species you are carving.
