Default At long last its painted

I've had this GW Teal hen on my painting desk since last winter. Decided to take the time and paint it. Finished the Drake in the fall, so this has been a lazy project. Don't be to hard on me, grin. Painting the female Teal is always ! a challenge for me. The decoy body and head, is carved from one piece of wood, no inserts. Thanks for looking.

Hugh, your feathers look so soft and natural...great job! You certainly have captured the essence of the GWT. I think most of us have trouble painting but you have it mastered. Dick

Always nice to get one done, especially one that's been lingering. Those hens are a pretty complicated paint job. Nice work on this one Hugh. Thx for sharing.
