Ahhhhhhh Hugh. Those owls ~sigh~ gorgeous.

Big, pushy, loud pileated 'peckers eat all the suet I put out and scream for more. The downys, red-bellied, hairys and flickers have to settle for peanuts.

Nancy, I would like to have a Pileated Woodpecker at my feeders. Last spring, I was painting a Pileated, my wife was in the room, all of a sudden she said I hear a woodpecker, I looked out the window, were on the second floor, and in the birch tree, right out side the window, is a Pileated. It stayed a moment and left. Its the only one I have seen where we live now.

Glad you like the Owl
Frank,The last owl I carved isn't sold, the other three were orders, but they were so popular that I thought I should have one available.
By a salt water Rabbit, do you mean the Puffin?? Never heard that expression before.

Nancy I think I'm going round the bend, I never posted the photos of the newest owl on the display page, but left the last photos there. Anyhoo I posted the last carving this afternoon. I had posted it on my for sale page, but must have missed the other.

hugh-if memory serves me correctly some Newfoundlanders use that term,as a protected species when they would go hunting they would refer to them as salt water rabbit hunting
