| | Re: Latest Project finished. Gosh Hugh,
Those are awesome. If YOU have a problem with painting, I have failed to find any evidence of it. Your carvings are double G Georgeous! (and yes, I'll leave the back door unlocked so Santa can drop one of those carvings off at my house...What? 11 months away? I'll never make it.
Thanks for sharing them with us. In my wildest dreams, I'll never be that good of a bird carver.

| | Re: Latest Project finished. Wayne , your a terror. That is a suet feeder. I made it from a piece of firewood. A friend wanted to know how to make it. The woodpeckers and small birds are able to cling to the sides, but the larger crows and greedy blue jays, cant. The photos on that page change continually, as I use it to show people items I want to display.

I knew you were just kidding
I never any luck doing birds
i can get the basic shape
It is those feathers that give me trouble
Think I am allergic to feathers
I sneeze when I am near a feather whether real or carved
I was really having a hard time figurong out the bird beeder though.
Hey
I could never build a bird house either.
Several dog houses though
Come to think of it I stay in the dog house most of the time |
