I'm impressed not only with the carving but with the artistic style of the carving. Doing a large carving with just the bear would have been difficult enough but with the rabbit added really nice touch. Just the thought process you went thu has impressed me, great imagination. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Great job Madmangil, love the concept. Great sense of humor and style. Well done. Beautiful colour and finish.

Great job, I'm assuming you used a chain saw on this project, something I have never tackled yet, but love watching it being carved out.

Thanks for sharing and by the way, great imagination on the pose.

Great carving.
I've gotta ask. What are they pointing at?

Coffeeman,
I started with a single "L" shaped piece of wood about 2 feet thick and 4 feet on each leg. A chainsaw was used to rough it out but most of the work was done with grinders, dremel, files and chisels. Other than the beer bottle cap and the eyes, the finished piece is a single piece of wood.

Thor,
What are they pointing at? Since he is holding a blunderbuss, you need to assume that he is a pirate bear. Pirates usually used their blunderbuss to clear the decks of the ship they were plundering. Why a blunderbuss in one hand and an MGD cap on top of the bottle in the other hand? Well, maybe I have a little problem with history.
