Errol, great carving! I think this may be your best piece. I wouldn't be surprised if you left it outside for awhile that other hummingbirds would check it out. Great job, Bird carver

Hi Errol,

Very nicely done. They are captured in mid-flight perfectly, hovering at the flowers.

Great carving Errol, haven't seen you on here for a while, what part of the world are you in now? I hope it's not in our area of Ontario Canada, it rains here every day.

Thanks everyone. Hey Tucker, I'm in NC for a couple months its cool here so nice carving outside. Will be leaving NC august 20 then to tn for a couple craft shows. Planning to be in the "hill country" of Texas for the winter around Kerrville/Ingram.

Another beautiful hummingbird piece!

Don't know your background, but sounds like you do your carving "on the road". I've thought about doing a bit of wandering after I have some more free time.

This probably isn't the thread to do it in, but I'd be curious how you go about doing some of "heavier" work like making cutouts from blocks of wood...normally band saw type work.

Sounds like a nice plan for winter. Enjoy!
