| | just finished hummingbirds hummers carved from basswood, flowers from basswood, leaves from brass sheet, stems from copper wire covered with ribbon epoxy, base from oak.

Don't know your background, but sounds like you do your carving "on the road". I've thought about doing a bit of wandering after I have some more free time.
This probably isn't the thread to do it in, but I'd be curious how you go about doing some of "heavier" work like making cutouts from blocks of wood...normally band saw type work.
