I resorted to inserting 8 secondary feathers (the ones located between the primaries) in the peregrine I did because the cutout I used looked a bit blunt without those inserts. It is a lot harder to make them look like they are a continuation from the other feathers carved from the block.

Garry, this is an old thread from 2008! Your photo might get lost. Why not post it as a new thread? Your carving and painting look very nice to me, and I saw your comments about the article you used to create this...people will want to see it!
