Absolutely beautiful work! The painting is wonderful and looks like it would be soft to the touch.

Hello Bob, your smoothies are incredible. From what I've seen in the image gallery and here it appears that you work from your own patterns,....that in itself is craftsmanship at its finest. If I may be so bold, I'd like to know approximately how many pieces do you carve in a year. The image gallery is saturated with your work, I'm very impressed with what I've seen.....thanks for sharing Bob

Bob,
Great carving. I had to study it close. At first clance I thought it was a picture of a real bird. The carving and the painting are really life like. This is another great reason why I come to the forum every day if I can. I'm afraid I will miss something like this. Great Job!

Safe Carving and God Bless,

Mark

??????? Thats insane, your a MACHINE, and I mean that in the most respectful way. Thats almost 1 a day, when I think about it your probably the reason for global warming.....your using every Basswood tree available....hahahahaha.

And here I am with only 3 carvings to date and working on my 4th. This makes me the slowest carver around.....arggggggggggg.

The cork decoys arewhat gets my carving count up . I carve them in batches and they go fast . My motto is a duck a day keeps me from having to find a real job . So I carve a duck a day. in the aggregate not literally. The average.
