Just boil 'em till they turn red! Sure takes a bunch ta make a meal, but are dey ever good! Dave noticed something (but he's been quiet about it). It looks like the little guy has only six legs, BUT the front two (out of sight) are in the "up-feeding" position. The big claws are used to catch and crush prey, then the front set of legs act as arms and hands to bring the food up to the mouth parts. All 8 legs show on the underbelly pic. Good eye, there, Dave! Ya be right on boilin' them there crays till day be nice n red. But ya be boilin' them there thungs with Tabasco sause eh?They be just baby lobsters fer shur. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM good! AH to go to Latrey Bayou ,Alabama again. Right north of Dolphin Island. Walk right out in to the ocean a coupl hundred yards and pick up oysters and crawdads. Sorry, I was regressing back. Very nice carving Al. Ifn' I'd be a little on the lit side and saw that picture, I would be wanting to boil him for sure. I am amazed at how you captured what a crawdad looks like. So real. OUTSTANDING job of carving it.
