Default handmade pins

Just thought I would share some of the pins I have done. I am using reg. carving knifes and wondering if the mirco ones would be better for doing this? or a power one?

thanks
Tammy

Hi Christina
thanks very much.
I have a question. Where did you get the wood to do some of your wall carvings? someone wants me to do an akita for their door. they want to glue or attach it to their front door and don't know where to get the wood to do it. they said about 15" x15"

thanks
Tammy

Hi Tammy,

Your regular knife seems to be working just fine for you. Very nice pins.

Try doing a search on wood suppliers.

I use a variety of woods, but for detailed work, I use basswood.
I order from http://www.heineckewood.com/index.htm
They are friendly, the wood is perfect, their prices are very easy on the purse, and I've always been satisfied completely.
You can order any size you need.
I'll watch for your next project.
Christina

Thanks everyone. I wasn't sure if I should get a power carver for detail. I don't get the detail I really would like to get but just don't have that extra $$ yet. I was hoping to sell some of the stuff I have so far..... no luck yet
