Rick, what do you mean by your third paragraph re: the bottom of the v-tool and painting?

This is the inside of the carving.

In the example above, on the left there are wider areas between the Vee at the [u][bottom /u]of the cut. That will paint okay.

In the middle, there are deep Vees mixed in with shallow Vees.
This area will look much better.

In the last section, the V cuts were spaced too far apart; which when painted will show up a flat surfaces on top of the fur. Not good. >

Thanks, that clears it up for me ... I was thinking about flat spots in the bottom of the v's.
