| | Fishgap's album There are some exceptional sculptures over in Alfie's album, titled "space shifts". Taken from his Raven Dream. Not sure of the significance of either term, but sure would like to know about both the dream and the process.
I don't think I would want any of these in my home, but WOW, what an eye and imagination grabber! They seem to take his Native theme carvings to a whole new dimension. I'll give 'em all a big 10!

| | Re: Fishgap's album Wow thank you so much, I am not sure how this post got lost in the shuffle but I just found it now by doing a search on Alfie.
Thank you both Callynne & Al.
The sculpture you are talking about should be called Shapeshifting Raven – Eagle – and Bear. I have also completed a new piece for the set it is a Shapeshifting Moon.
The Dream? Well it might be hard to describe in writing.
This is the short form, I saw in my dream what looked like a ball of twine or wool consisting of 2 colors, red & black.
The ball of color was spinning very slowly and the 2 colored threads wove in and around each other.
The ball of twine slowly unraveled and became an image of a traditional West Coast raven. The black was black but the red was almost florescent.
I have tried to re-create this image but can only come close. This is what I call the Shapeshifting Set Raven, Eagle, Bear, Moon.
Hope I didn’t bore you and thank you again coming from carvers of both your qualities, this means a lot to me thank you. |

| | Re: Fishgap's album Alfie, I don't even pretend to know what you saw in your dream, but those pieces, with the color, contrast, dimensional effect and the black background, are exceptional. Wish I had your imagination.
As far as reproducing what you saw in your dream, our mind sometimes gives us images and concepts that are in more dimensions than what we can physically deal with.......looks to me like you dealt with it well.
