Does any one have any tips or patterns for fish decoys? I see some at flea markets, but a lot of them appear to be repro. Thanks Jerry |

The nice thing about fish decoys is they don't have to be that fancy. Google fish decoys and get some Ideas from there. As for a pattern just copy a side view of the type of fish you want and trace it on your wood blank. Some of the "old timers" used sheet metal for the fins. And something shinny for the eyes. There are also books that fox chapel sells on decoy fish carving. good luck!
