Default finally got it done and wife stole it

i finally got the chicadee done and my wife stole it.it was going to go to my oldest daughter and she's the one that came up with the idea.both of them decided to sell tickets on it for breast cancer. its going to a good cause so what the hay i can make a nother one for her my wife and her are doing the walk for the cure and there gonna sell tickets to raise money for there team on the walkso i hope the sale does well.

a great big thanks to hugh its carved from one of his rough outs and he also answered a bunch of questions for me about the painting of it.hope i wasn't to big a pain thanks again hugh

my wife took the pictures so if there blurry its her fault hehe

Great Chickadee Ron, great idea to offer it for the auction, that's a great cause. I love your setting , looks so natural. Some lighter pictures migh show the detail a bit better. Hugh is a great help, a fine man and teacher.

the base is a piece of maple i had from my days of long haul.i hauled a load of this stuff from new york to ontario.i graped a couple of pieces they had laying around.heavy heavy stuff couldn't cut it with a knife had to use power on it.really nice grain on it though.i think they called it rock maple which would make sence because its as hard as a rock
