You can use Triple Thick, which can be purchases at Walmart and other places, another good item is Lacquer Gloss or semi Gloss...... Then of course you can get some spray on finishes from the various taxidermy supply houses. Another thing that works really well is the 2 part auto clear finishes. Good luck with your finishes

Any auto part supplier will have it, or check with a body shop they might even mix you a pint to use. A little bit goes a long way. You would of course need to use an airbrush to put it on, or a spray gun to put it on.

I use a taxidermy supply "super hi gloss" for fish finishing. It comes in bulk cans (so you can use it in a sprayer) or spray cans. The secret is to use lots, so spray it as heavy as you can without it running.

u can get spray lac. or spray clear enamel if u don't have a gun to spray it ether or just put a lot of coats if u use thick coat u may want to use a hairdryer after getting it on to smooth out the finish or get it well warm before putting it on i found that useing a hairdryer helps with the bubbles in thick coat pop the bubbles with a pin soon as putting it on hang from the mouth let drip at the tail [at 1 corner] that way if a drip at the tail is left it can easily be cut off or sanded and some furniture polish to take away the dull

When spraying, put on a fast light coat and let it sit for awhile. Then, give it another flash coat and let it sit. Finally you can give it a heavy coat for the final wet look gloss. As Chipmunk mentions, warming the fish both before spraying and after spraying will help with giving it a gloss'ier look and doing away with any bubbles.

I use Enviro Tex light for wood things that I want a smooth clear finish. Its a polymer with two parts, resin and hardener. One coat will do it.
